I once was lost but now am found
Hi campers. Look at what I stumbled across this here old blog, perhaps I should change this to the 3 times a year blog as that seems to be all I have been managing over the last two years. I've have been playing quite a bit of poker lately, probably more since the changes in the US were introduced late last year. I have found that a lot of the poker sites have really changed their focus to non-US players, for obvious reasons, which has meant for the likes of us Aussies an influx of attention, tourney invites, signup bonus', reload bonus', I even got $100US just for logging back into an old disused account. I played .5/1 NLHE short and built it into a nice bank role to get things moving along well over the Xmas period. Most of my poker over the last two months has been on Titan 1/2 NLHE short while at times it has been a roller coaster ride I have done well with my VIP status up to gold, which gives you all the cool stuff and managed to hold onto a lot of my winnings sometimes clearing 2-3 times the buy in. Check Titan Poker out by clicking on the banner on the right. They really are filling a void in poker world. At the moment I am trying to qualify for their 20 players $1million guarantee. To keep things interesting I am going to extend this here blog to be more then just about Poker. I think my track record for keeping things interesting and updates means I should extend it out a bit more. There will be plenty of poker related content, as previously mentioned I really do want to final table some big tournaments over the year. My life is pretty full on and I was recently told I have an addictive personality for everything that I get involved in and I am involved in a lot. The title of this blog, Tilt Tales is probably an apt one for the life I lead.I played yesterday in a $5.50 tourney on Full Tilt, 552 starters top 54 paid I had managed to get through the bubble with about average chip stack when pocket queens came along, a short stack went all in for about 1/3 of my chips and I called with another caller behind me. Flop came JJJ, flopped a full house, very nice. Myself and the other caller had about the same left, $14K, I went all in and he called, he flips over AK, the other guy AK, the turn was a K, so I was gone already but the kicker...the river was an A...that hurt and I was out 44th. A year ago I would get pissed off at that, but these days it is about getting to the money and playing well and I am, the bigger rewards will come.
